If you would like to play an online game about the Church in the Middle Ages then why not try this Penalty Shoot Out. It is based on the key words that we have been learning in class. Get the question right and then test your skill against the keeper. Good luck!

Brilliant Board Games!
Jan 28th
Year 7 have produced some brilliant work this week both in class and at home. The students made their boards for homework. They are really creative and also show some good historical research. In lessons we have been playing and marking the games. Photos of some of the boards that have been brought in so far can be seen in this gallery:
Why was the Church so important in the Middle Ages?
Jan 10th
This week we have been investigating the Church in the Middle Ages. We spent quite some time looking at a Doom painting and talked about Medieval ideas of heaven, hell and purgatory. We then started to read about three key things that made the Church so important: Power, Hope, and Help.
- As we are exploring these ideas we are also getting ready to make History board games about the Church in the Middle Ages. I also suggested that you may want to visit one of the Medieval churches in or near Witney. For more information about these free visits click here. Remember to bring into school any photos you take and information that you collect.
