Tea time?

98 years ago today, the first ‘Model T’ automobile left the Ford factory in Detroit. The Model T, or the ‘Tin Lizzie’ as it was known, was to give millions of Americans their first taste of motoring. It was also one of the driving forces behind the boom. I’ve written this new ‘Prezi’ presentation to outline some of the key developments.
You can get a clearer idea of the Ford assembly line in action with this footage from British Pathe. It runs a short advert before playing but teachers and students on school networks should be able to download a high quality version from the British Pathe website. More information about the USA in the 1920s including revision notes and links to podcasts can be found on the GCSE revision page.
